Shiny New Digs

Today, I proudly launch my new website.

I have known for years that I should have had a site like this up and running. I doubted and denied whether anyone would ever want to purchase a print from me, wondering whether something like this would be worth my while.

In the end, I decided, why not. With a successful run (so far) of selling prints through the Cow'n'Calf Art Gallery, I began to wonder why I hadn't done it sooner.

Please bear with me while I adjust to my new site host, no doubt there will be new things that even I discover along the way.

NEW THINGS:

• Sales - Payments are processed through Paypal in a variety of currencies. Your order is then sent to a professional imaging lab, printed and posted to you. Cool huh?
• Limited Editions page - check it out!
• Gallery - Looks great, new images constantly being added!
• Links and Contact Pages - completely overhauled.
• New Blog - Major or important posts, plus Iceland 2012 posts have been included from my old Wordpress blog. Comments sadly could not be included, but thank you to everyone who did post in past. I hope you will continue to comment here :)
• Video Support - Although I have none on my site just yet, it doesn't mean they're not on their way ;)
• Client Access Portals - Though I have no clients pending image collection/review, this is very much a feature I intend to use.

A few things removed:

• Links to fellow Photographers. Will see if I can find a way to incorporate these in another section in future. I pawed through the pages of my contemporaries and none have links to others. Just seemed the way to be.
• Categories of blogs - maybe this is possible, I haven't yet found it.

And some growing pains:

• Images have watermarks on them just for the website. When buying, this watermark does not go to print. This is for the numerous reasons of controlling my copyright.
• A different way of Blogging. Images aren't so readily insertable. We'll all get used to it.
