Going Live Again

Well I think it’s time, it’s time that I go live with the site again. The weeks’ of headache and heartache have finally culminated in the recreation of my site. What a learning curve it’s been, I totally could not have done it without the assistance from a certain individual – Dave George – I really owe you one!

Over the next few weeks there’ll be slow but sure adjustments to what’s here I’m sure, I’ve got a few things planned. I really hope it all works for you!

Unfortunately with the severance from my old service provider, means I lost the following:

• The rights to take my old site design and layout with me
• Archived content: I have the .html files of my old site and intend to create an Archive section in the near future, where everyone can read my previous posts, as there were some classics that I really wish I could’ve kept going. They will be added as soon as I can figure out how…
• Comments on posts, once again these are encapsulated in the archived posts.
• Stats and Other funky bits

In good time, I will be giving this a larger post, as I feel I was deceived by my prevous host, Squarespace. Their unwillingness to assist me with my data export was a massive headache, and only thanks to an external tool do I have my .html’s.

In the meantime, there are still some site tweaks to be made, and I ask that you be patient with me as I tackle this WordPress learning curve.
